Gabrielle Reyes

I am pursuing a biomedical engineering degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I always knew I wanted to do something with the human body, but I knew I didn’t want to be a doctor. My favorite subjects have always been math and science, so in order to combine my skills and passions, biomedical engineering seemed like the perfect fit.

I have always been involved in more than just academics, and coming into college I wanted to continue this. So rather than focusing in on only engineering clubs and outside activities, I have committed to various extracurriculars. I think this is important because it has enabled me to grow in many different aspects of my life and allowed me to connect with people of all different backgrounds who are interested in all different types of things. I have grown and am continuing to grow into someone who is comfortable working with many different types of people and juggling different activities, while still learning and growing as an engineer.
