I am entering my third year as an aerospace engineering undergraduate student at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. I am also pursuing a minor in entrepreneurship and am especially interested in applications of unmanned aerial vehicles, such as precision agriculture and search and rescue. I am from Santa Cruz, California (but, no, I do not surf).
I am a big fan of French pastries (especially the ones filled with chocolate or Nutella) and travelling. I have visited ten countries, including France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland, so I consider myself to be a bit of a chocolate expert.
I also enjoy horseback riding, hiking around beautiful San Luis Obispo, cooking and baking, gardening, building RC planes, and reading (especially historical fiction and science fiction). In the image on the right, you’ll see my twin sister, Miranda, and I in front of the famous Shakespeare & Co. bookstore in Paris, France. My dad was a big Shakespeare fan, so my sister and I are actually named after two characters from The Tempest.
