How I cursed this site forever
I joined iFixit back in 2020 to disassemble my (brother's) Nintedo 3DS. I can remember the details pretty vividly - I was working in the kitchen with the same small box of screws I use today, sitting on a high chair while there was an ice cream debacle, taking photos I'd later end up using as a profile picture, much to the bemusement of my then-friends. I was positively absorbed by the process, attempting to see if I could do anything about the console's shoulder buttons (Mario Kart 7 in particular wasn't kind to already dysfunctional buttons). Somehow, it worked... sort of. They remain wonky, but it's something that showed promise and results.
Things ramped up in 2021, as I bought an Xbox 360 S. On the very day I got it, I disassembled the PSU. I'm not joking. A Wii and PlayStation 2 followed suit, and then the rest is history.
I am me, probably
I fix things. By no means am I some computer god, but it's a fun hobby to kill a few hours. From controllers to vacuum cleaners, consoles to whatever else I can't think of. It's probably not impressive by other standards, but I've brought them to working order, or better.
🎮?!
My plan after exams this year is to buy some tech, fix it and sell it. If something really goes wrong, the experience comes in handy.
And... yes, this is a gaming channel, of all the people this could've been. Meh.
Feel free to take a look around (or don't), see for yourself that I have way too much free time, whatever.
