Hello! My name is Kaylea and I’m a freshman at Linn Benton Community College.

I chose to major in computer science because I’ve always been fascinated by computers and technology. Unfortunately, I don’t have much experience with computers. I hope to gain knowledge and experience throughout my college years!

My experience with repair is limited to common car maintenance/repair and fixing house hold items. I’m lucky to have the tools and space to be able to do my own oil changes and I’m not afraid to get dirt in my hair and grease on my pants.

I don’t know what specific field I wand to build a career in but I do know I want to be able to work with technology and help people communicate and learn with ease.

I am a strong believer in trying to fix something before you toss it in the bin. I grew up with not a lot of money, so fixing a flat bike tire or repairing ripped jeans was just something we did. I remember the first computer we got was an old dell tower that sat in the family room. I absolutely loved it! That computer gave me a whole new world of cool things to explore. We had it for quite a few years, because my parents and I took it upon ourselves to trouble shoot and fix it for as long as we could.

I have a bit of a diverse list of hobbies. To start with, I love rock hounding, polishing and collecting pretty rocks. I’ve also just recently gotten into knitting. As for sports, I’m not that big of a fan but I do like to throw axes on occasion.

Here are pictures of my latest throw and some of my favorite rocks collected from my own property.
