Introduction
Hello there! My name is Ani Gurtsishvili and I study Business Commerce in Information Technology at York University.
Education
I love the modern approach of mixing business and IT worlds together which is the reason why I am choosing to attend Business Commerce in Information Technology program at York University. Studying courses focusing on the business side of the world as well as working on more technical IT related projects gives me more hands-on, a deeper understanding of business management. I am part of the University Honours program and take pride in doing well in my studies.
Aspirations/Extra-Curricular
Outside of my major, I work as an executive member at different York Clubs including and not limited to SCOLAPS (Students of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies), UNICEF, SUSA (Sociology Student Association), Entrepreneurship student association. I volunteer to write programs for different organizations such as the Canadian Multicultural Inventors Museum. I attend General Assembly online workshops about coding in HTML&CSS, Python, SQL, and Java. I communicate in three languages and help immigrants in community libraries adapt to the English language and culture. I work part-time and actively looking to land an internship in my field. In the future, I see myself becoming a lawyer to serve justice and fight for equal human rights.
Projects
One of the projects I have worked on during my studies is creating a new to the world, Business-To-Consumer product. This project covered implementing marketing and financial knowledge to create an innovative product/service, drawing out a marketing and selling plan for the product, and lastly launched the product. The website has already launched and weekly reports of product standing were created. A final grade of A was achieved.

Repair Experience
I have limited experience with repairing things. I occasionally work on my car and do minimal repairs on it. I have also unassembled my printer a couple of times to figure out the issues with it. I love working on things hands-on but it can get very frustrating and tiring when no solution is found. Online or paper guides are an amazing way for users to understand their gadgets better. I am excited to be part of something that is going to limit the waste of products and promote repair culture in our society.
