Hi there! My name is Daria Maltseva, but I usually go by just Dasha (quite common Russian name).
I’m currently a 3rd year York University student pursuing a Business and IT degree specializing in Business Systems Analysis. In addition, I am at the same time working at a start up as a Product Manager building an online travel agency platform.
I absolutely adore creating things with my hands, let that be drawings, origami’s, recipes or IKEA furniture. In my household, I was usually my dads helper in all the repair things he’d be doing so I have wide experience with using various tools around the home and garden! Mother Russia’s style of living has even taught me how to chop wood!
I’ve always been very passionate about sports. You name it - I’ve probably played it :) In university, I’ve participated in many intramural sports before COVID-19 started. I’ve won some awards in the sports field, however, I also have recognition of completing various Olympiads in high-school and wining regional competitions in English and IT subjects.
In 2017 I’ve been sent to participate in the Regional Economic Forum after I’ve won an IT competition and created a project with my team on the topic of Virtual Reality.
I am looking forward to working on the iFixit student project as I can definitely see how it can benefit both: me, and the worldwide community.
