Hey everyone, my name is Zia Ahmed, I’m currently 20 years old and studying at York University for Information Technology, looking to go into blockchain technology one day!
My interest in technology started back in high school, I was running short on hobbies and I always thought to myself that working with technology is interesting. After awhile I was known as the technology repair man in my family, I wasn’t extremely knowledgeable in repairing technology but I did manage to find out solutions to the simple problems and when it came to the more complex problems, I tried my best to do research to figure out how to deal with those type of problems.
When university began, I dove into ecommerce without knowing what’s to come next. I took a couple of months to learn how ecommerce works and how to start a drop shipping business. When I finally started the business, the first couple of months were really rough because I was struggling to find good products to sell and convince customers to buy my products instead of someone else’s. As I developed my product research skills, the business started to do relatively well. I eventually also wrote a proposal to a couple of companies to do a collaboration and it was a really good experience working with other people in the same field.
I’m looking forward to learning how to create IFIXIT guides so I can improve on both my research and writing skills to help me manage my future projects.
