It’s almost indescribable- the pride one feels after fixing a gadget and maneuvering a method, promoting completion for a personal project. I have always gravitated to the parts of life that make me have to stop and think.
Being as that may, I know this has directly contributed to my academic major: Computer Science. Interestingly enough I never would have thought my interests would lie here, but people often make the comparison to taking up after your parents. My father is a tech wizard and his tedious work ethic and acute attention to detail has most definitely grown on me. Playing a large roll in who I am, and what my work says about me.
When I am not working on my IFIXIT project, I can be found playing soccer on the fields. The skills and agility I have gained from this sport relays the type of woman in science I am. An ever flowing powerhouse for spontaneous and insightful ideas, often described as a very detailed orientated leader. My ability to code switch and relate on a personal demographic, tends to assist me in many group oriented projects, which I know will translate to my IFIXIT project 2021.
