I’m Clay and I’m a computer science major with the software engineering option at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I’m really excited with my major because I love solving puzzles and that’s what programming feels like to me for the most part. I’m interested in pursuing a career in software development and web development.
Although I’ve definitely taken my fair share of electronics apart, the most productive I’ve been in doing so happened earlier this year when I took apart an old LCD monitor I had laying around and paired it with a Raspberry Pi and a two way mirror to make a smart mirror that shows the time, the news, a calendar, and the weather.
I’m looking forward to taking apart this tablet because I’m interested in incorporating a touch screen into my mirror and I want to have a better understanding of how they work so that I can see if it’s plausible that I can add one to my own projects.
