Hello! My name is Angel L. Appelzoller, a student from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University Prescott Campus. I am an Unmanned Aerial craft Systems (UAS) Major and taking an Aerospace Defense Studies, Aviation Safety and Aeronautical Studies minors. I am also a cadet in the Detachment 028 Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps on campus aspiring to earn a fighter pilot slot and fly either Remote Piloted Aircraft or Manned Fighter Aircraft. Some special skills I possess are computer programing, FPV drone racing, cinematography/videography, Microsoft office certification, public speaker, and numerous leadership accolades/experiences across the nation. Some accomplishments of mine fall under public service such as volunteering events, community projects and recently becoming a Shutterstock contributor/YouTube content creator. I consider myself a “jack of all trades”, which by definition is somebody who is not afraid of getting comfortable being uncomfortable by building or repairing numerous items. Items range from engines, robots, model aircraft, gaming consoles, technology, hardware, etc. I have been recognized by the AFROTC Steven M. Scherp, Arnold Air Society squadron for community service. I have been recognized by the City of El Paso, TX to represent the Ysleta Independent School District by performing as a public speaker for a National Youth Leadership Forum in Washington D.C. Lastly, I have been recognized by the Dean of Students for maintaining an exceptional scholastic record being a student at ERAU. Some hobbies of mine include hiking, backpacking, fishing, online gaming, drone flying, golfing, traveling, photography, working out, spending time with my pets, and cooking.
The photo attached is from the time I needed to fix and replace a gasket over my engine block and couldn’t seem to find an angle to unscrew some things. So logically, I climbed into the engine bay and got to work. Turns out a handful of other people who have the same truck as I also resorted to this solution. I uploaded this image because I believe it grasps my intuitiveness to not give up when working on something hard and shows what type of work I refer to with general mechanics. If anyone ever needs assistance being a grease monkey I am always open to help. My house has a vault of tools and equipment and I am always open to learning something new.
