I am currently in my first semester at UMass Dartmouth, having transferred from Bristol Community College last year. My major is Computer Information Science. I chose this major because I want to become a game developer. I hope to work for a racing game developer because I am a huge motorsport fan, and I spend most of my gaming time playing racing games such as Gran Turismo and Project CARS. I largely enjoy playing Gran Turismo because of the league racing community. Ever since I joined the SNAIL Racing League in 2018, I've gotten to know a lot of fellow racing game fans and improve my skills at racing.
I consider myself very good at working in a team, another reason why I chose the career path of a game developer. I work at my best when it’s for others’ success.
During my time in Bristol Community College, I've completed 3 video game projects: RaCe, a 2-player 2D racing game in Unreal Engine, Lapis Lunacy, a ball-rolling game inspired by Marble Madness and made in Unity, and the Rose's Curse, a 3D game using 2D models created in Unreal Engine.
I have fixed my Thrustmaster T300 RS racing wheel when the connectors started going haywire - specifically, when inputs from buttons on the wheel were being registered at random. Besides that, I have little repair experience. I would like to learn how to fix an Android phone because I have an old Samsung Galaxy S7 with a black screen issue that I could never figure out how to fix.
At UMass Dartmouth, I am a member of the UMassD Smash Club, a club dedicated to the video game series Super Smash Bros. The club meets on Wednesday nights and hosts competitive tournaments for the game. I have also recently joined the UMassD Motorsports Club, a club that hosts watch parties for NASCAR and F1 races.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing video games and hanging out with friends.
Through the Technical Writing Project, I hope to learn more about the iFixit organization and become more experienced with the methods of repair.I hope to eventually learn how to repair my broken Galaxy S7 through iFixit's help!
