Greetings! My name is Sam Vorn, I am a Computer Science major at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth with a focus in cyber security. I chose Computer Science because I have a love for puzzles, and coding is all about solving problems and putting together the best solution for your respective issue. I hope to land a job at a tech company and start my career in my focus.
For my skills, I am: fluent in Java, experienced in team leadership, multi-tasking, as well as the ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Some of my biggest accomplishments include: building a fully functional remote-controlled robot, leading a sailing team and placing top 5 in the regatta, and getting second place in my first-grade spelling bee.
I have some experience in repairing and cleaning electronics, most notably my own home laptop. I also have experience in building PCs for friends and family.
I am currently in the Honors College at UMass Dartmouth and participate within the university’s e-sports team.
For my hobbies, I enjoy digital art, gaming, and working on cars in my free time.
This project will help me brush up on my teamwork and leadership skills as well as refresh me on repairing electronics. I believe this project will also further build my professional communication skills, allowing me to grow as an individual.
