Hi, my name is Charis and I'm currently a student at the University of North Texas. I am an information science major. I intend to focus on data analytics, but I also really enjoy anthropology. I find the intersection of people and technology fascinating, and I don't think I will ever be able to satisfy my curiosity.

My end goal with my major is to become a data analyst or a business consultant for a tech company. After I do that for a while I would like to go back to university and receive my MLIS, so I can become a librarian in my retirement.

As far as skills go, I have lots of customer-service experience and I am highly adaptable to any situation I could be put into. I have experience dealing with all types of people and communicating in ways that are professional but efficient. I am also very organized and meticulous. I value order and accurate and precise instruction and information.

I was inducted into and a member of the National Honor Society for two years, and volunteered my time for numerous service projects throughout my tenure.

I do not have much technical repair experience, but I have been sewing my clothes back together for years and I am quite handy around the house. I worked on sets for the theater department of my high school, which included an extensive amount of building and repairing.

I'm excited for this project because I value the message behind what iFixit is doing, and I think that the problem of e-waste needs to be addressed as quickly as possible.
