Welcome to my iFixit page! My name is Adam Sles, and as of October 2022, I am a sophomore studying computer science at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. While not exactly within the field of hardware per se, I would like to become a software engineer in the future. I think that contributing to iFixit will give me the opportunity to explore an aspect of technology that I might have neglected otherwise.
I have built my own computer! This was a build that I made during high school in order to improve my working efficiency, especially in certain creative software (Photoshop, After Effects, 3DS Max). Currently I have it left at home while I pursue my studies at UMass Dartmouth, but nonetheless it has familiarized me with the basics of computer repair.
My curriculum at UMass Dartmouth is supplemented by self-study at the Mosse Institute. Currently I am studying cybersecurity in pursuit of my first credential. I am a Commonwealth Scholar at UMass Dartmouth, and I graduated as the salutatorian of 2021 at my high school, Avon Middle High School.
