Hi, I am a civil engineering major at University Massachusetts Dartmouth. I chose this major because I love building and designing thing. Then going beyond that I really enjoy how every problem is unique and I consistently have interesting work to do.
I am still no entirely sure what I want to be when I grow up. I know I want to work in industry it is just a question of where, I hope to end up in the public sector rather than that private one, working as a city planner or a town engineer. My professor is pushing me to become a teacher myself nd that is still something I am unsure of.
Over the course of my academic career so far I have made an effort to develop my interpersonal and presentation skills. I had a professor that really pushed me to improve. I have also take care to become proficient in drafting and 3D modeling software.
I am very proud of all of the theatrical productions I was apart of back in high school. There I built sets and ran lights for the shows, it has always been something I was proud to be a part of. I have not been able to participate in a while. I am also proud of my associates degree I earned at community college. I tried to go to college fresh out of high school but things did not work out for me. So I ended up coming back years later to try again, this time seeing great success.
I do know have any really repair experience, I can to basic maintenance on my car and some other electronics I own but nothing beyond that.
In my spare time I really enjoy Playing games with my friends. Whether its table top or virtual it is so much fun to unwind with my friends. I also enjoy painting models for some of the table top games that I play, though I have not had much time to do that lately. I also love to cook but similar to the painting I have been too busy to really get in to making thing. Here are some photos of the most recent model I have painted
This project would help me develop my interpersonal and presentation skills further and give me more experience working on a team of people .
