Hey, thanks for checking out my page! My name is Bryan Segovia and I'm a junior at Cal State LA majoring in Computer Science.
Since I was a child I have always been fond of computers and electronics in general. I loved sci-fi movies and the idea of robots has always filled me with excitement so I hope to pursue a career in robotics or possibly cyber security. A personal dream of mine is to be able to one day help create mechanical prosthetics for people who need them.
I've spent most of my life playing computer games, exploring the web, getting viruses, and troubleshooting desperately to avoid my parents finding out. Thus most of my repair experience comes from troubleshooting software or hardware issues in computers. I've built my own computer, helped others build their own, diagnosed faulty hardware, and replaced components because sometimes turning it off and on again just isn't enough. Outside of desktop computers, however, my experience is limited so I hope to be able to gain more through iFixit. I'm interested in learning to fix laptops and mobile devices.
In my free time, I like to play video games and board games with my friends! My favorite board game would probably have to be Gloomhaven considering my friends and I managed to complete a year-and-a-half-long campaign of it. Scheduling weekly meetups between four people was tough but it was a blast! Other than games I enjoy practicing tricks with my yoyos, lock picking, reading books, and petting my dog.
