Hi! My name is Finn Cole and I'm a senior at Grand Valley State University, double majoring in Writing and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I chose to double major in these subjects because I love creative writing and writing fiction in particular! I'm also passionate about inclusion and creating safe spaces for all! In the future, my biggest goal is to publish my own work, but for now I want to pursue a career in the editorial field (specifically beginning as an editorial assitant and making my way up through this field of work.)

Some of my skills include written and spoken communication, as I currently work as an assistant student office worker at the Music, Theatre, and Dance Department. There I work with faculty, answer phone calls, update event boards, and help sell tickets for the plays. Some of my most proudest projects includes the WGS Capstone research paper, in which I wrote a technical analysis about queer and trans themes in Alien (1979). I am also proud of two short stories that I had written for my fiction workshop classes. Both stories are in the horror genre and show my growth as a writer!

I haven't really repaired any technology, but I would love to learn how to work on cars. It's a hobby that I'd just love to pick up and understand. In my spare time, I love to read, play video games, or draw (one of my most favorite video games right now is Elden Ring!)

I'm excited to be taking on this project because I'll be able to gain the experience of what it's like to consult with technical writers and learn how to better help other writers with their work!

One final note and fact about myself: I have a black cat back at home! Her name is Luna and she's kind of mean, but can be nice when she wants to be!
