Self-taught technology architect, with time spent in the trenches of the graphics production industry (book publishing), technology consulting (the formidable Technology Consulting Group in CapGemini in the latter half of the 90s), and general information junkie habits within the creativity and content space have given me a wide range of knowledge of many, many disciplines. Master of [mostly] none, but I know how to find out what good looks like.

I've been fixing things for as long as I can remember. In the beginning, it was just taking stuff apart, and usually not in a reversible way. But hey, failure is essential for learning, and so I learned. I got into electronics in High School, and didn't progress too far, but the basics of Ohm's Law and crystal radios was firmly embedded. I got into computers in my preteens, and learned while playing, eventually getting to the point of competence in moderate component replacement. A Mac user since 1984, I don't consider myself a rabid fanatic, but I haven't found any platform that is better equipped for getting shit done. Which is why I want to fix things in the first place.
