Background and Identification
The AcuRite 5.4-inch Intelli-Time is a digital alarm clock produced by AcuRite, a company that specializes in weather stations and sensors. AcuRite has multiple alarm clocks in different sizes, but this page is dedicated to the 5.4-inch model. The alarm clock is made from black plastic and has a rectangular shape with the clock digits displayed in red at the front. The top of the clock is mostly flat with a raised edge around three sides. The all-important “snooze” button is wide and easily accessible, while other buttons like “time set” and “alarm set” are further back on the top of the clock.
The Intelli-Time is made for use in the United States and features a switch on the bottom which allows you to change between the seven standard U.S. time zones. For power, the clock plugs into the wall, but it also has a battery that lets it keep the time and settings during a power outage or when it’s unplugged. To change the battery when it is dead, simply open the compartment on the bottom of the device (Phillips screwdriver) and insert a replacement CR2032 coin-cell battery.
You can identify this alarm clock by looking for the AcuRite logo just beneath the main red digits. The best identifier for this specific 5.4-inch model is the shape of the plastic top side, as described above.
