The Carrier Global Corporation is an American corporation founded in 1015 as an independent company manufacturing and distributing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Since its founding, Carrier has expanded to include manufacturing commercial refrigeration and food service equipment, as well as fire and security technologies. Willis Carrier is credited with inventing modern air conditioning in 1902. The corporation began using Carrier’s name to mark its air conditioning system to the residential market in the 1950s.
Carrier’s HVAC brands include Carrier, Arcoaire, Bryant, Carlyle, CIAT, Comfortmaker, Day & Night, Heil, Keeprite, Payne, Riello, SLD Pumps & Power, Spot Coolers, Tempstar, Toshiba-Carrier, Totaline, Automated Logic, and NORESCO. Carrier’s systems and products include air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, ductless systems, evaporator coils, geothermal pumps, fan coils, boilers, packaged products, thermostats, smart thermostats, air purifiers, humidifiers, carbon monoxide alarms, UV air purifiers, dehumidifiers, and ventilators. Carrier often refers to their HVAC systems as “home comfort solutions” that can provide consistent temperature, humidity, and air quality from room to room. According to Carrier’s website, their products are designed to be quiet, so there should be no loud noises when the furnace or air conditioner turns on.
Carrier products include the Carrier logo, which features the name “Carrier” in white font inside of a blue oval with a white line placed just inside of the blue oval.
