Background and Identification
The 2023 HomePod is Apple's second generation of their fully-sized smart speaker released on January 18, 2023. Several notable changes include the addition of the new S7 SoC, humidity, temperature, and sound recognition sensors, and upgrade to Wi-Fi 802.11n with MIMO. Apple did downgrade the HomePod to 5 Tweeters, and 4 microphones.
The new price point for the HomePod is $299 USD.
