Background and Identification

Released in 2005, the Intel Desktop board D945PSN is a motherboard that supports one Intel processor in an LGA775 socket.

Using processors not listed specifically to be compatible by type and rated speeds can have requirements unsupported by the design of the desktop board. This can result in improper operation, damage to the desktop board and/or the processor, and result in a lower product life.

Technical Specifications

  • Form Factors: ATX (12.00-inches by 9.60-inches)
  • Processor: Support for an Intel processor in the LGA775 package
  • Main Memory:
    • Four 240-pin, 1.8 V SDRAM Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) sockets
    • 667/533/400 MHz single or dual channel DDR2 SDRAM interface
    • Designed to support up to 4GB of system memory
    • NOTE: System resources (such as PCI and PCI Express) require physical memory address locations that reduce available memory addresses above 3GB. This may result in less than 4GB of memory being available to the operating system and appliances. For the latest list of tested memory, refer to the Intel Website.
