These are some common tools used to work on this device. You might not need every tool for every procedure.
Background and Identification
The Kyocera Echo (also referred to as the Sprint Echo) was made for Sprint by Kyocera of Japan. It is a smartphone running on the Google Android OS. Inside the device, is a 1 GHz Qualcomm QSD 8650 Snapdragon CPU. The CPU provides 1GB ROM and 512MB of RAM. The Kyocera Echo has two 3.5-inch screens that can be used in “tablet mode” to create one full 4.7-inch screen. The screens of the device can be used in four modes:
- Tablet mode, using the two screens as one 4.7-inch screen.
- Optimized mode, where each of the two screens shows different parts of the same application.
- Simul-Task mode, where the device runs different applications on each screen.
- Single Screen mode, the top screen is the only screen used for a 3.5-inch display
The Kyocera Echo has a battery life up to 7 hours, and 8 GB microSD card, a 5-megapixel, 720p video capture rear camera, and a front-facing camera.
The volume control and power buttons are on the side of the device.
