Background and Identification

The Minolta Maxxum QTsi is the 5th and 6th generation camera and was released in June 1999. This model of the Minolta was the first commercially successful one. This camera has major features, such as: a detachable 35-80mm zoom lens, automatic pop-up flash with 4 models, and a programmed auto exposure, plus 5 present exposure models.

This camera is an all silver and black camera that is slightly different from the rest of the previous models. The font on the camera is different on the wording “QTsi” which makes it stand out differently. The Maxxum was the first edition to introduce the innovation of arrow buttons for setting the aperture and shutter speed. Before, it used to be on a shutter speed dial on the body and an aperture ring on the lens.
