Identification and Background
The OLPC XO-4 Touch was released in the first quarter of 2013. It took the previous version's laptop functionality and adds full tablet capabilities. It features a matte touch screen, flash storage, and a pivotable screen to turn the device into a tablet.
To identify if your laptop is an XO-4 Touch, turn the laptop on, click on the large OLPC icon in the middle, and then click on My Settings. Next, go to About my Computer and check the Build for XO-4. If you cannot do this, you can also check by the four small dots on the back of the screen's hinge cover that indicate that the device is an XO-4 Touch.
https://www.theverge.com/2018/4/16/17233... “The ‘green machine’ — once a breakout star of the 21st-century educational technology scene — was a symbol of tech industry hubris, a one-size-fits-all American solution to complex global problems.” This is only one opinion, for another, check out Uruguay’s Plan Ceibal at https://www.ceibal.edu.uy/en/institucion... Despite the XO-1 "Buy One Get One" program, it is difficult finding any used OLPC laptops in the U.S.
