Background and Identification
Wireless charging has been a concept since the late 1800s, but was not popularized until much later. The most common application of wireless charging is the Qi standard. This refers to a system that involves a charging pad and a compatible device that is charged using induction. This method is commonly used for small devices like smartphones or tablets, not for larger electronic devices like vehicles or power tools. The Qi wireless charging standard was first released in 2008, and went through several updates. As of 2019, there are over 160 smartphones, tablets, and other devices that meet these standards.
This wireless charging pad comes in two colors: black and white. It can be identified by the Samsung logo on the front, and by the model number EP-PG920IBUGUS. This pad has a built-in LED light that can alert the user if the device isn’t well-aligned enough to charge. It is compatible with all Qi-certified devices.
