Identification and Background
Zeal Optics released the iON with the purpose of allowing downhill thrill-seekers the ability to take 1080P video and 8 MP pictures through the viewfinder embedded in their 170-degree wide angle lens. Some features of the camera include automatic adjustments for light levels and infinity focus. iON utilizes an in-goggle viewfinder and is controlled by glove-ready buttons on the side of the frame. It sports a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with roughly 6 hours of recording time.
The Zeal Optics iON sports a camera centered above the middle of the mirrored 170-degree lens. To verify that you have the correct device, make sure that the goggles have 'Zeal Optics' printed to the right of the camera.
