Background and Identification
On July 1st 2013, Zoom announced the release of the 6th generation Handy Recorder, the H6. The Zoom H6 was the first to be produced under Zoom North America, a US affiliate of the Zoom Corporation in Japan. This model of the Zoom Handy Recorder is identified by the name H6 Handy Recorder centered underneath the volume input knobs, and above the track buttons and indicators.
Compared to the previous generation H5, it offers 6 tracks of recording versus 4, 4 XLR/TRS combo jacks versus 2, and can accept SD cards up to 128GB, compared to a 32GB max in the H5.
