Introduction
The Mercedes-Benz center-dial touchpad is an integral component to the control and functioning of the Mercedes-Benz COMAND operating system. Without it, one cannot access the menu functions that comes with the vehicle.
The center-dial touchpad can become inoperable due to excessive wear and tear. This guide illustrates the repair process to replace the COMAND center-dial touchpad on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
An OEM COMAND center-dial touchpad replacement is required for this guide. Consult with your nearest authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer for more information.

Start by pressing down on the button that opens the center arm-rest.

Pop each side of the silver trim using the trim removal tool or a plastic opening tool.

Remove the silver trim.

Lift the end of the center-console and flip it to reveal the undercarriage of the center-dial touchpad and its wirings.

Press down on the center of the white connection in the middle and slide the safety latch to the left to pull out the main white connection.

Remove the two 15 mm T15 Torx screws holding the center-dial touchpad.

Firmly press the center-dial touchpad out to remove the unit.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
