Introduction

Installing new LED backup lights are actually very easy. While this guide demonstrates it on a BMW F10 M5, you can use this as a guide to install any other LED reverse light since the concept is the same.

  1. TAWUxRi1M2hhDx6d
    • Gain access to the back of the trunk

    • Remove some clips that hold the trunk liner in place.

    • Tip: You don't have to remove all the clips, just enough so you have enough access.

  2. dxadKCxVCLp5JpA4
    • Pull out the bulb tray.

    • Press the two clips on the side to release.

    • Test to see if the LED reverse lights work and enjoy.

Do you have any idea how to reset the “ Reverse Lamp Malfunction”. I changed mine per this page even with the bulbs that are linked. The bulbs work great! But I always get the error and chime!

Conclusion

Installation will take absolutely no time at all and you will be on your way to some new LED reverse lights.

Any idea how to do this on the Station Wagon/ Tourer model F11d

The liner does not have easily removable clips. The tool box cover reveals several screws and 2 recessed expanding plastic catches which I cant get out . Removed all the screws has not impact.

Thanks
