Introduction

For your safety and that of other drivers, it is important to quickly replace a dipped headlight bulb.

The model shown is a FIAT 500 III 1.2, but this should be similar for all FIAT 500s.

    • Apply the handbrake and remove the keys, then open the hood.

    • Remove the cover by pulling on the tip.

    • The cover is easy to remove, but take a good look at how it is secured so it can be reinstalled in the same orientation

    • Pinch and hold the bulb holder by its release tab and remove the holder and bulb from its housing.

    • Do this slowly; during reassembly you will have to put it back in the same position correctly.

    • While it's not important for a bulb you're going to dispose of, for new bulbs or a bulb you're going to reuse do not touch the glass with your bare hands. Oil from your skin can collect heat and result in failure of the glass envelope. If you do touch it by accident, clean it thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol.

    • Hold the plastic bulb holder with one hand and remove the bulb by grasping it by the metal edges. Rock it back and forth to remove it.

    • Replace the defective bulb with the same model, here H7 12V 55W.
