Introduction

These scissors require a little maintenance. The blade must be sharpened, rust marks removed and the joint lubricated.

    • First, the upper nut SW 13 is released, then the scissors is turned over.

    • The spring can be easily removed.

    • Now the hinge screw can be unscrewed. Here SW 14 is used Next to it lies the spring and the lock nut.

    • Now the scissors can be completely disassembled.

    • The blade is pinned with three bolts in the handle half and usually dissolves easily.

    • The scissors are disassembled. We see the pivot nut, the hinge screw, the spring, the two handles and the blade.

    • The blade is ground on one side. Sharpen the beveled edge with about 15 degrees, only deburr the straight edge with a maximum of 5 degrees.

    • The parts should be free from rust and freshly oiled or greased.

Does the fixed bolt need Locktight or thread locker applied to its thread to stop it coming loose in operation?

I did not use a thread locker and ist works until today.
