Introduction

Use this guide to force restart your iPhone 6s when it is frozen and not responding. Force restarts are very simple and require no tools.

Step 1

Press and hold the Home button.
While holding the Home button, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button.

Step 2

Continue holding both buttons for about 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

So I’ve replaced the screen but still have just a blank black screen, when I try turning it on it has the plug in and charge icon pops up, and goes off when I unplug, but nothin else will display on screen!!! HELPPPP!! PLEASE!!

I dropped my phone in the garage it locked my screen when I turn it on it has lines across real colorful but locked I m not able to retrieve contacts or photos from it…is there any hope,? I had to purchase another phone same one iPhone 6s I really need my contacts and photos from this phone?

Swollen battery kept the home button from properly working on my phone, it spread the case apart slightly. Do you have battery problems?

It is just off, it doesn’t do anything, even I left it hooked for the hole day and it won’t even show the battery when charging. Is there any way to full reset? I do not even care anymore for what I have, I just want my phone back.

i got so incredibly lucky. i actually misplaced two of the screws belonging to the panel that holds down the 3 display connector cables, saying “&&^& it” and only using the two at my disposal. fearing having to buy a new phone (having completed all the steps), i forced a restart and… it works perfectly. no common issues that i had seen in any of these comments. thanks so much!!
