Introduction
Imagine preparing to wear a new shirt, and when you open it from its package, you find that it is missing a button. Due to time constraints, you have to fix it quickly, but don't know what to do. Simply put, you take one from an old shirt to fix it. To make this work, you have to get an old shirt that you do not wear, and cut the button from an area that is least noticeable, usually the bottom where the button stops is a great place to start. It is a quick fix, but some basic sewing skills are necessary to complete this guide.
Tools
-
-
Lay both shirts on a flat surface.
-
Use sewing scissors to cut a button from the old shirt, (preferably from an area that won't be noticeable).
-
-
-
Insert the needle into the hole where the missing button was located.
-
Pull the thread through to the end until the knot stops it.
-
-
-
Take the recycled button and put the needle through the bottom of one of the holes, then down through the second hole.
-
-
-
When the needle is on the other side, go through one of the button's holes again. This step can be repeated as one may like to achieve the desired look for the button.
-
-
-
After you are done adjusting the button, go through the other side of the shirt again.
-
Then, rotate the thread around the button around three times.
-
-
-
To secure the button in place, grab a piece of fabric and put the needle in between.
-
After making sure it is tight, grab the needle and put it in between the two threads to create a knot.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
