Introduction
The leading cause of your dry erase markers drying out is leaving it uncapped for a long period of time. Restoring dried out dry erase markers is a simple process that you can do with materials at home. To follow this guide you will need a dry erase marker, alcohol or vinegar, and a bowl.

Collect all of the markers you want to restore

Obtain isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) or vinegar.

Use a bowl to pour a small amount of either alcohol or vinegar, using enough to cover the tip of the markers.

Soak the tip of the markers in the alcohol or vinegar until the ink comes out of the tip of the marker.

Place the cap back on the marker.

Let the marker sit tip side up for at least 24 hours. The alcohol should penetrate inside the tip of the marker.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
