Put your belt on.

Using a ruler or measure taping, measure how much of the belt you would like to alter.

Place a mark where you will shorten the belt.

Place your belt on a workspace that can be nailed into.

Place a nail on the new spot where you'd like to add a hole.

Hammer the nail until it goes all the way through the belt.
