Introduction

This tutorial will show you how to replace a cabin air filter in a Mazda CX-5. You will need to purchase a new filter, which can be found at AutoZone or Amazon for around ten dollars. This fix will take under five minutes.

Before beginning this guide, be sure to power off the ignition and engage the car’s parking brake.

    • Squeeze the sides of the glove box, and gently pull it down until you can see behind it.

    • Locate the cabin filter with hook that is facing down.

    • Lift the hook and pull out the filter.

    • Put in the new cabin filter and place the tray back into the slot with the hook facing down.

    • Take the sides of your glove box and squeeze, gently lifting back up until you close the glove box.
