Introduction

It doesn’t happen often, but when a wheel on your Patagonia Wheeled Luggage blows out, it can leave you stopped in your tracks. Fortunately, installing a replacement wheel is quick and only requires a single hex screwdriver.

For replacement parts or further assistance, contact Patagonia Customer Service.

    • Lay the bag down, with the problem wheel facing you.

    • Zipping the bag closed will keep it from flopping about as you work.

    • Using a hex 4.0 screwdriver, remove the threaded bolt in the center of of the wheel. This is the screw closest to the ground when the bag is upright.

    • Remove the bolt by pulling it straight out of the hole.

    • Using one hand to lift and support the bag, take the wheel in your other hand. Pull the wheel out of its casing.

    • Removing the wheel may take a little force, do not be afraid to give it a tug.

    • To install your replacement wheel, follow these steps in reverse order with your new wheel.

What do you do when the nut inside the wheel housing comes loose? I can hear it rolling around in the housing. The bolt has nothing to screw back into. Is there any way to take the housing off? It looks to be held on by rivets. I'm guessing that's not a good sign.

Helpful but where do you get the replacement wheel from. My brand new Black Hole 100L bag showed up in Lisbon Portugal with one wheel missing. Need to get another wheel and screw. Can I order that from Patagonia and have them ship to a friend that is coming here? Is that best route to take? Thanks
