Introduction

In this guide we plan to remove the internal speakers from the Toshiba ChromeBook and replace them with new ones.

    • Using a Y1 screw driver head remove all ten .9mm screws from the back cover

    • Set the screws aside in preparation for reassembly

    • Remove the back cover by placing a prying tool in the SD slot and popping the clips out of place.

    • Unscrew the battery by using a J1 screw driver head, and place the four .7mm screws off to the side

    • Using a pry tool, pop the battery connector out of place and gently lift the battery upward.

    • Remove the right side speaker by popping it out of place with your finger

    • Follow the speaker wire along the clips underneath the battery until you reach the left hand speaker

    • Unplug the connector wiring the speaker to the mother board.

    • Pop the speaker out of the computer, similar to the method used in the previous step.
