Introduction

The Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller has an easily removable D-Pad. The controller comes with two interchangeable D-Pads, standard and faceted. If your controller's D-Pad gets stuck, there may be residue underneath it. Here are instructions to help you remove and replace your D-Pad.

    • Remove the circular D-pad by pulling the ridge near the top of the button towards you.

    • If the D-pad is a cross instead of a circle, skip to the next step.

  2. TrQ4WSvNy4Scwx4q

    • Remove the cross D-pad by pulling up on the top of the cross.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

This tutorial is incomplete, doesn't show how to replace/clean the actual d-pad button (the green thing underneath the d-pad covers).
