Gary E. Weir (* 28. Juni 1951) ist ein US-amerikanischer Historiker.
Leben
Er erwarb 1975 den MA (In search of a democratic Germany. A profile of the Frankfurter Zeitung during the German Revolution, 1918/19) an der University of Tennessee. Nach der Promotion an der University of Tennessee 1982 (The origins of German seapower. Military-industrial relationships in the development of the high seas fleet 1897–1912) war er an der United States Naval Academy Professor für Geschichte (1986–1987) und seit 1987 am Naval Historical Center Wissenschafts- und Technikhistoriker.
