Der Watson, Helen, Miles, and Audrey Davis Prize der History of Science Society wird jährlich für Bücher der vergangenen drei Jahre, die Wissenschaftsgeschichte einem breiteren Publikum vermitteln, vergeben. Es sollte in Englisch veröffentlicht sein und für Anfänger ohne große Vorkenntnisse zugänglich sein (auch für Undergraduates an Universitäten). Er ist mit 1000 Dollar dotiert. Der Preis wird vergeben zu Ehren des Ehepaars Watson Davis und Helen Miles Davis, die als Wissenschaftspopularisatoren in den USA bekannt waren, sowie von deren Sohn Miles und Schwiegertochter Audrey B. Davis, die Kuratorin der Smithsonian Institution war.
