Unter dem Markennamen AMD Athlon II vermarktet AMD Mehrkernprozessoren für Notebooks. Daneben gibt es auch Athlon-II-Prozessoren für Desktopsysteme. Im Zuge der Vorstellung der Turion-II-Prozessoren wurden die Athlon-II-Prozessoren für das Low-End-Segment eingeführt.
