Alexander VII. (eigentlich Fabio Chigi; * 13. Februar 1599 in Siena; † 22. Mai 1667 in Rom) war von 1655 bis 1667 Papst der katholischen Kirche. In seinem Auftrag entstanden zahlreiche das Bild des barocken Roms prägende Gebäude.
