Ein Antemensale (von lateinisch ante, „vor“, und mensa, „Tisch“) oder Frontale ist als Sonderform des sonst üblicherweise textilen Antependiums eine verzierte Holz- oder Metallplatte, mit der die Vorderseite des Altartischs in einer Kirche verkleidet ist.
