Anthony Powell (Schriftsteller)

Anthony Dymoke Powell, CH, CBE (* 21. Dezember 1905 in London; † 28. März 2000 in Frome, Somerset) war ein britischer Schriftsteller und Literaturkritiker. Als sein Hauptwerk gilt die zwölfbändige Romanreihe „A Dance to the Music of Time“ (1951–1975), die das Leben in der britischen Oberschicht im 20. Jahrhundert chroniert.
