Die Asymmetrische Dihydroxylierung (im Englischen oft abgekürzt als SAD für Sharpless Asymmetric Dihydroxylation) ist eine von Barry Sharpless entwickelte katalytische asymmetrische Oxidation eines Olefins zu einem cis-vicinalen Diol. Die hohe Enantioselektivität der Reaktion kommt durch den Einsatz eines chiralen Liganden zustande.
