Münchwilen ist ein Bezirk im Kanton Thurgau. Hauptort ist Münchwilen. Der traditionelle Landschaftsname ist Hinterthurgau, im Volksmund heisst die Region auch Tannzapfenland. Als Wirtschaftsregion wurde sie von 2009 bis 2016 als Südthurgau vermarktet.
