Céilí

Céilí (irisch, Pl. céilithe, schottisch-gälisch cèilidh, „Besuch“) bezeichnet ursprünglich ein geselliges Zusammensein beliebiger Art, eine Party. Heute versteht man darunter in Irland und Schottland meist eine besondere Tanzveranstaltung, bei der Céilí-Tänze getanzt werden.
