Die Chiesa Madre (Hauptkirche) von Erice am Westrand der kleinen Stadt nahe der Porta Trapani mit dem Patrozinium Mariä Aufnahme in den Himmel (Maria Santissima Assunta) wird als Hauptkirche der Stadt auch Duomo dell’Assunta genannt.
